Alright, it's not really "projects", it's just one project for now. I have plans for more in the future. This is the interactive nucleosynthesis source periodic table. Best viewed on a large screen.
Nucleosynthesis is the process of creating atomic nuclei. During the big bang only three elements were formed: hydrogen, helium and some lithium. All other elements were created by various events including neutron star mergers. Did you know that gold is mostly made in neutron star collisions? I think that is pretty cool.
Data for this table has been taken from Jennifer A. Johnson, Populating the periodic table: Nucleosynthesis of the elements. Science 363, 474-478 (2019). DOI:10.1126/science.aau9540. I recommend reading the full article which is available at https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.aau9540 .
